Who We Are

UGW Credit Union is a type of community bank, which is owned and run by its members. UGW is overseen by Directors who are elected each year from the membership at the Annual General Meeting. If you become a Unique Growth in Wealth Credit Union member you will be supporting a local and ethical savings and loan scheme that is owned and managed by local people for local people. There are about 400 Credit Unions in USA with over 1 million members.

Like all Credit Unions, Unique Growth in Wealth Credit Union is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). As a member, this gives you the peace of mind of knowing that your savings are 100% safe and secure, as they are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Our Team - Staff

Our employee base consists primarily of Indigenous people who live in the communities that we service. 85% of our staff identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and speak the local languages of the customers they serve. With roles ranging from teller through to supervision and senior management roles we provide a number of career pathways.

UGW staff are highly valued and supported in personal and professional development objectives through career management initiatives and mentoring programs. UGW employs professional, qualified mentors that provide culturally appropriate, solution focused and personalised mentoring and planning programs for staff to assist them to achieve career and life goals.

Talent is recognised and encouraged at UGW. Staff are provided with the tools and opportunities that directly link them with the organisation vision and mission, allowing them to advance and grow within the business.
